Brian Boortz, M.A., principal, holds a Masters degree in English from the University of Oregon, Eugene, B.A. in English from Macalester College, St. Paul, MN, and graduated from the public schools in Palo Alto, CA. He launched his career as a college English and music instructor, earning tenure at Butte College in Chico, CA.

After returning to the Bay Area, he worked as a marketing communications coordinator for corporations including Intel and National Semiconductor. In 1983 he organized Boortz Communications Group in Los Gatos, CA. Throughout his career, he has participated in political, social and economic campaigns, and provided numerous individual and group presentations.
